JUDr. Petr Hostas, attorney-at-law (Czech advocate), Czech Bar associaton Ref. No. 4748 was born in 1972 in Klatovy.
Mr. Hostas graduated from the Law School of Charles University in Prague (Mgr., 1995) and Law School of University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (JUDr., 2007). He passed the bar exam in 1998 and as a result was entered into the Register of the Czech Bar Association on January 1, 1999. He has worked in the leading Czech law firm Fiala, Profous, Maisner a spol. (1995-2000). From 2001 until 2003 he worked as a practicing professional lawyer and in 2004 became the partner of CIZEK HOSTAS.
Mr. Hostas is a member of the Intellectual Property Right Section of the Czech Bar Association, arbitrator and member of the Board of the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic and the panelist of the Arbitration Center for .eu domain names disputes.
Apart from everyday lawyer's work, Mr. Hostas has so far been engaged in a number of system integration projects, covering license agreement issues and providing complex legal advice on IT issues. He has devised a proforma documentation system within intellectual property right, has been involved in acquisitions, namely in the IT and telecommunications areas, and provided complex legal advice on the operation of the domain name registration system in the Czech Republic and advice within the telecommunications business, including regulation issues in telecoms.
Mr. Hostas specializes in commercial law, civil law, company law, IT law, intellectual property law, domain name issues, competition law, telecommunications law, arbitration and public procurement.
